Riniki Bhuyan Sharma, a media tycoon, has served as the CMD of Pride East Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. since 2008. Known for her leadership that is marked by her steely reserve as well as for her humanitarian works, her exertion is not only limited to expansion and growth of the business but also on empowerment of women. Breaking all the stereotypes and making a mark for herself from being a philanthropist and building social impacts to being hands on with technology to opening up new prospects, she is an inspiration to many – following what her heart feels to be right. One among the list of women entrepreneurs who have changed the start up landscape of Assam with her grit, determination, passion and strength of purpose; she emphasizes on bringing forward North East India in many possible aspects which is often ignored and overlooked in many parts of India. From the experience of my journey with her I have learnt how easier it is to accomplish something when we have an agenda, to trust our instincts and work from it and with all faith in the almighty stepping forward by following our hearts- as we all know, we will be damned if we do and damned even if we don’t.

Touching lives through philanthropy

She touches many lives through her philanthropy. From Sneha Bandhan, a home away from home for young orphaned / abandoned children under the Kailash Nath Sarma Trust, to Udayachal, a school with professionally trained teachers for specially abled children, under the Jadhav Chandra Memorial trust, her personal touch is seen everywhere.
